Disdainful individuals
While there are many people who succumb to social and or peer pressure in the hectic world of games and trickery, there are still those who strive to rise from the stereotypical mindsets of society and achieve something out of the ordinary.
However, in communication between people, I believe the greatest wrong one can make is to put them on a heirachy lower than your's. Everyone is from a different background and deserves unique and individual treatment. Relationship between two people is not about deciding who's boss and who's better, it's about taking steps to maintain that relationship. The mistake that many people do is mistake themselves as being better than another person. Or perhaps, they are doing it diliberately. This gets on my nerves every time I see someone doing this. Either it's bullying or it is belittling another person. What a person deserves, and what everyone deserves, is equal treatment.
Equal treatment does not mean you treat your friend like some bully has treated you. I believe that you are all mature enough to differentiate between good and bad behavior, and also able to recognise the sensitivities of the other person. If you are truly a friend and human being, you will at least try to treat others as you would wish them to treat you. However, there have been many incidents where I have noticed some people acting so naive that they think they have the right to boast and order everyone around without showing any respect to others. There are also even worse characters that decide that they are "better" than everyone and start acting as if they are the king of the world.
These immature individuals don't deserve to be tolerated. They may have skills in an area, but that does not give them the right to tease, manipulate or attack others. The many people that suffer from their attacks have been extremely annoyed and some have been left with a very bad experience. The worst case would be that they person caused the other so much distress that the other person was left crumbling inside.
Who gave these people the right to do such devastating and disgusting acts? Should we put up with these people anymore? One part of me says no, another says we should. What should I do? Tomorrow, I'm going to a camp where I might have a confrontation with one of these unsightful individuals. I hope against all hope that that person does not act up and try to get at me. I promise that if anyone ever tries to do that to me, I shall let them have a taste of their own medicine. Nobody is perfect, not even these people.
Now let's just hope I can have a peaceful and good time in the camp for the next 3 days.
