Image hosting woes
There are a few free image hosting websites that are available on the Internet. But i think the two most used ones are photobucket and myspace - at least those are the ones that i've heard of. I started out with using photobucket after i was introduced to it by a friend that uses a lot of photos on her blog. Photobucket is a very nice site for image hosting, it also provides tools for making slide-shows and also basic image editing tools. i don't know about the payable version, but the free one that i'm using offers those perks that are very useful for a person that spends quite some time editing blog designs like me. i guess that the full version should offer even more perks.
It was not until recently that i started using myspace to host pictures. The main reason was that photobucket seems to take forever to load. Loading the home page for photobucket is already a problem and sometimes it doesn't load at all. After you've succesfully logged in, there is a loading process as well. Normally, loading would take just mere seconds. But now, loading takes another lifetime. For that little "problem" photobucket offers a simple solution. Below the loading bar there is a line of text that says: "If this takes more than 5 seconds, please click here (link)." If you've noticed, it does take more than 5 seconds. So i click the link. Who knew, that it takes an hour to load my page = =... So what the heck, i decided to try myspace.
Then recently, while editing the new background that you see now (Starcraft II theme), i found out that myspace only offers hosting for pictures up to around 600x600 resolution. Whatever picture that's bigger than that, it'll automatically shrink it to fit. Great, there goes user friendly-ness.
Fine, then i tried to access photobucket in college. And what do you know, it worked! I logged on and managed to do change my background. Now i got some more new ideas for my background, and photobucket is back to it's old attitude again = =
Just great....
